What MaiSay keeps
Your account details, the country your phone is set to, what you have practised and how it went, and the recordings you make when you speak in the app.
Your recordings
Each recording is kept with a record of what you were asked to say, how it scored, the language you use the app in, the level you chose, and the app and device it came from. It is linked to your account, so a problem can be traced back to it. MaiSay uses them to improve scoring and to fix problems. Recordings are kept for as long as you have the account. Some recordings that could not be scored are kept too, so MaiSay can check why they were refused.
Deleting your account
Deleting the account is how kept recordings are removed. It removes every recording nothing has used yet. A recording already used for labelling or training is kept, along with what was derived from it: the labels, the reads, and the trained scorer. Your practice history and scores stay on the closed account, without your name or contact details.
Resetting your progress
A reset clears your place in the course and returns you to onboarding. Your account, plan and voice history always stay. Your streak and calendar, the study sets you made, and your Write with Mai texts and Speak with Mai answers stay too, unless you choose to delete them.
Who handles it
MaiSay, the people who label speech for it, and the services it runs on. What is sent to AI service providers, and who they are, is in the AI Data Policy. Your recordings are not sold and are not published.
